At Iwate University, we provide a variety of technological consultations. We are prepared to respond promptly to technological consultations and to requests for the start-up of joint research. There is no fee for inquiring.
The revision of the Unfair Competition Prevention Act （January 1st, 2016） strengthens the penalty for leaking confidential information and requires researchers to fulfill a confidentiality obligation regarding the protection of intellectual property.
When you have students participate in joint research, or plan to hold a research conference or presentation at Iwate University, please follow the procedure below:
１ Students’ participation in joint research programs with companies
In the course of joint research, researchers and the third party (a company for example) must respect the confidentiality obligation. Please submit a confidentiality affidavit when you have a student participate in a joint research program.
２ Holding research conferences at Iwate University
When you need to protect the confidentiality of your research information at a research conference, or in meetings such as graduation thesis presentations, please make all participants sign the attendance list at the meeting and have the manager (a director of the department for example) keep the list.
