7.Dr. Karen Tanino of Saskatchewan University was nominated as Iwate University's Global Fellow on April 18th.This title is conferred with the purpose of improving international relations at Iwate University.

5. The 122nd Japanese Society of Animal Science General Assembly was held at Kobe University, March 26th - 30th, 2017.
