If you are close contact of COVID-19, the day of the last contact with a positive person is day 0, and you must stay at home until day 5.
(For example: If Jan,1st is a day of the last contact→ You must stay at home until Jan,6th )
However, if you tested negative on the second or third day, you could end self-isolation.
A week after ending self-isolation, observe your health condition.
Avoid unnecessary trips out of the house and reduce the number of times you shop.
※If you have symptoms already, check the "Having symptoms during self-isolation" below.
Please be sure to inform your doctor or medical institution that you are a "close contact" and then go to see a doctor. After that, please contact the Iwate University Health Care Center.
Persons who had contact with a positive person during the period of possible infection (from
the day of onset of illness or from 2 days before the date of testing in the case of asymptomatic
patients until hospitalization or hotel stay, etc.) and who meet the following conditions.
・Family members living together
・Persons who had contact with a positive person without taking necessary precautions against infection (e.g., conversation, meals, karaoke, etc.)
・Those who had prolonged contact (including in cars, airplanes, studying or playing games in a room, etc.)
・Those who examined, nursed, or cared for a patient without proper infection protection(e.g., wearing a mask).
・Those who may have come into direct contact with contaminants such as airway secretions or body fluids of the patient.
(Note)
If you have no symptoms after the ending of the stay-at-home period, you will be able to attend school and go to work.
Students must contact their instructors and report the ending of stay-at-home period via Web-class. Also, Instructors and staffs must do procedures for absence. (See below)
Observe your health condition a week after the self-isolation.
