Admission fees should be paid when you are completing university admissions procedures. The payment method will be detailed in the information sent with the notification of your success; please pay according to this.

Paying tuition fees

Tuition fees should be paid via automatic transfer from a bank account. The fees will automatically be taken out of your account on:
May 20 (The following working day if this is a Saturday or Sunday) for the first semester and November 20 (The following working day if this is a Saturday or Sunday) for the second semester So please ensure your tuition fees are in your account by the day before.

If your tuition fees are not paid by the relevant dates, you will be expelled following set demand procedures in accordance to School regulations section 69. Please be careful.

Should your tuition fees change while you are enrolled, the new fees will apply from the time of revision.

Exemption from Admission Fee

Students are exempted from half or the full amount of their registration fee depending on financial difficulties (family income).

Eligibility of Application for the Admission Fee Exemption

[Prospective undergraduate students]

  1. Students who are recognized as having extreme difficulty paying admission fees due to the death of the person responsible for payment of their school expenses within one year prior to admission or due to damages sustained by the student or the person responsible for the payment of their school expenses caused by storm, flood or other natural disasters.
  2. In any case equivalent to the above where the reasons are deemed appropriate by the president.

  1. Students with outstanding academic performance who are recognized as having difficulty paying admission fees due to economic reasons.
  2. Students who are recognized as having extreme difficulty paying admission fees due to the death of the person responsible for payment of their school expenses within one year prior to admission or due to damages sustained by the student or the person responsible for the payment of their school expenses caused by storm, flood or other natural disasters.
  3. In any case equivalent to the above where the reasons are deemed appropriate by the president.

Students who are recognized as having extreme difficulty paying admission fees on time due to the death of the person responsible for payment of their school expenses within one year prior to admission or due to damages sustained by the student or the person responsible for the payment of their school expenses caused by storm, flood or other natural disasters.
  3. Students who are recognized as having other unavoidable circumstances.

Tuition Exemption

Eligibility of Application for the Tuition Exemption

  1. Students with outstanding academic performance who are recognized as having difficulty pursuing their studies due to economic reasons.
  2. Students who are recognized as having extreme difficulty paying tuition due to the death of the person responsible for payment of their school expenses within six months prior to the application (one year if incoming students apply for the first semester tuition exemption) or due to damages sustained by the student or the person responsible for the payment of their school expenses caused by storm, flood or other natural disasters.
  3. In any case equivalent to the above where the reasons are deemed appropriate by the president.

* As a general rule, students who have been enrolled longer than the term of study and/or are repeating a year are not eligible.
* Research students are ineligible for this exemption.

KENKYU SUIKO KYORYOKUIN (Tuition waiver program for doctoral course students)

This support is aimed to encourage doctoral student's research and university academic quality. Once you are selected as a KENKYU SUIKO KYORYOKUIN, your tuition fee payment will be reduced by half in one semester.
