Foreign students from countries where it never snows are looking forward to the snow in Iwate. So, what are some winter activities that you can enjoy when the snow falls? International PR Associate Ritt will introduce them. Please read on!

Winter Activities (冬のアクティビティ)

It's snowing! That means winter is here with all its cozy charm and loads of fun things to do outside. Even though it might be tempting to stay indoors where it's warm, there are tons of cool activities waiting for you in the snow. We've got some awesome activities for you to enjoy easily. Let's have a great time this winter!

Snow ball:

During the snowy season, grab some snow and have fun tossing a snowball around with your friend. You can even turn it into a friendly snowball fight for some extra laughs.

Making Snowmen:

Let's build a snowman! When the snow is nice and sticky, grab a bunch, roll it into a big ball for the bottom part, a slightly smaller one for the middle, and another for the head. Stack them up! Lastly, decorate your snowman freely. You may use buttons or some leaf for the eyes and mouth, and sticks for the arms.

Snow angeling:

Find a nice, fluffy snow spot and lay down on your back. Make sure your whole body touches the snow. Stretch out your arms and legs, forming an angel shape. Now, move your arms and legs up and down together to create the wings and body of your snow angel.

Winter photography:

Capture the beauty of winter with winter photography. A snow-covered landscape with frosty trees can create amazing images. Get your camera ready and venture outdoors to explore the natural beauty of winter. It's a creative and fulfilling way to spend your time while enjoying the winter scenery.

Ice skating:

Enjoy the thrill of gliding on ice! Ice skating is not just fun but also an awesome full-body workout. It helps improve balance and coordination. Have a good time with friends and family at the skate rinks in Morioka City during the winter. It's a fun way to enjoy the festive season together.
