Held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Iwate Prefectural Civic Hall, the evening showcased the beauty of Chinese traditions through a dynamic display of folk songs, traditional dances, and stunning acrobatics, presented by the Liangjiang Art Troupe from Chongqing, China. The performance, which began at 6:30 p.m., invited Japanese, Chinese, and international students and residents to immerse themselves in a celebration of Chinese culture, bridging cultural gaps and sharing heartfelt New Year's blessings.

The Liangjiang Art Troupe, composed primarily of young performers, is a highly active and renowned cultural group from Chongqing. The troupe's diverse program, which highlights the artistic expressions of China's ethnic minorities, was a treat for the senses. The performers' breathtaking acrobatics and vibrant dances, alongside melodious folk songs, captivated the audience, transporting them straight to the heart of southwestern China.

Since its inception, the Liangjiang Art Troupe has been a leader in cultural exchange, touring the world to showcase the rich and varied art forms of China. Their performances have earned high praise internationally, and this special Spring Festival performance in Morioka was no exception.
