Whether you are new to campus or a continuing student, we warmly invite you to take part in our weekly events. These events are relaxed, open to everyone, and a great way to connect with others. There's no need to register in advance or stay for the whole time--just drop in whenever you like. As a bonus, each time you join an event, you'll earn Global Miles, which can be exchanged for rewards such as certificates, monetary gifts, and more.

This April, we have a variety of events to help you get involved and make the most of your time at Iwate University:

Global Village Information Sessions (April, 21)

If you're interested in learning more about Global Village, studying abroad, or using English on campus, come to one of our short info sessions. It's a great way to ask questions and see how you can participate.

Ikebana Flower Arranging Workshop (April 22)

Experience the beauty of Japanese culture through a hands-on Ikebana (flower arranging) class in the Sogetsu style. Please note that reservations are required for this session.

Nihao! Chinese Workshop - Learn Chinese (April 23)

Would you like to try speaking Chinese? This short session is a great opportunity to meet Chinese exchange students and learn some basic greetings and phrases.

Welcome Party (April 24)

Join us for a fun and casual welcome party! Enjoy games, sweets, drinks, and plenty of chances to meet new friends from Japan and around the world.

Board Game Event - Let's Play Games! (April 30)

Looking for a fun and easy way to make friends? Join our "Let's Play Games" event, where we'll introduce and play a variety of board games together. English and Japanese support will be available, so everyone can join in and enjoy.
