On Jan 18, Dr. Pujo Purnomo, Iwate University graduate and associate professor at Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, gave an informative talk about historical figure and Iwate native, Nitobe Inazo, and his socio-economic predictions for Japan in pre-WWII Southeast Asia. The discussion was given in Japanese and English, and ended with a Q/A session.

1月18日のグローバルビレッジイベントでは、岩手大学の卒業生でもあり、インドネシアのUniversitas Airlanggaの准教授であるDr. Purnomoによるプレゼンテーションでした。新渡戸稲造について、東南アジアとの繋がりを踏まえて日本語と英語の2か国語で話してくださりました。最後の質問コーナーも活発に行われていました。
