「イーハトーブサマープログラム2026」がスタート

岩手大学では、海外協定校等との交流の促進と、学生・教職員の国際的な視野の拡大を目的とした「イーハトーブサマープログラム2026」がスタートしました。

今年度は、農学部と国際教育センターが連携して実施する「農学系プラン」と、国際教育センターが主催する「スタンダードプラン」の2つのプランを実施しています。海外から参加する学生たちは、専門分野の学習や日本語学習、日本文化体験などを通じて本学での学びを深めるとともに、本学の学生との交流を通じて異文化理解を深めています。

農学系プランは、8月16日から23日までの日程で実施しており、カナダのサスカチュワン大学から学生8名と引率教員2名の計10名が参加しています。プログラムでは、農学分野に関するレクチャーや研究紹介、研究施設や農場などの施設見学を通して、日本における農業や農学研究への理解を深めます。また、盛岡市内ツアーでは地域の歴史や文化に触れ、岩手や日本の魅力を体験する機会も設けています。

スタンダードプランは、8月18日から31日までの日程で実施しており、ロシア、スロバキア、カナダから5名の学生が参加しています。午前中は、日本語能力に応じて「ゼロクラス」と「中級前半クラス」に分かれて日本語授業を受講し、午後は日本文化体験を通して日本への理解を深めています。また、週末にはフィールドトリップを実施し、地域の文化や自然に触れる機会を設けています。

プログラム期間中、参加学生は本学の在学生とも一緒に活動する予定で、参加学生と本学学生との交流は、互いの文化や価値観への理解を深める貴重な機会となっています。本プログラムを通じて国際交流の輪が広がり、キャンパスの国際化の推進とグローバル人材の育成につながることが期待されます。

Iwate University has launched the "Ihatov Summer Program 2026," which aims to promote exchange with overseas partner universities and expand the international perspectives of students and faculty members.

This year, two plans are being implemented: the "Agriculture Plan," jointly conducted by the Faculty of Agriculture and the International Education Center, and the "Standard Plan," organized by the International Education Center. The students participating from overseas are deepening their learning at our university through specialized subject studies, Japanese language learning, and Japanese culture experiences, while also deepening their cross-cultural understanding through interaction with our students.

The Agriculture Plan is being conducted from August 16 to 23, with a total of 10 participants, including 8 students and 2 faculty members from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada.
In the program, participants deepen their understanding of agriculture and agricultural research in Japan through lectures and research introductions in the field of agriculture, as well as tours of research facilities and farms. Additionally, the a tour of Morioka city provides opportunities to experience the history and culture of the region and discover the charms of Iwate and Japan.

The Standard Plan is being conducted from August 18 to 31, with five students participating from Russia, Slovakia, and Canada.
In the morning, students attend Japanese language classes divided into the "Beginner Class" and "Lower Intermediate Class" based on their Japanese language proficiency, and in the afternoon, they deepen their understanding of Japan through Japanese culture experiences. Additionally, field trips are organized on weekends, providing opportunities to experience the local culture and nature.

During the program, participating students are scheduled to engage in activities together with students from our university, and the interaction between the participating students and our students provides a valuable opportunity to deepen their mutual understanding of each other's cultures and values. Through this program, it is expected that the circle of international exchange will expand, leading to the promotion of campus internationalization and the development of global human resources.
