The Origin of Sansa Odori (さんさ踊りの由来)*

From the Legend of Mitsuishi, In the past, An evil demon named "Razetsu" has invaded the Morioka castle town to terrorize the local people. So they prayed to the deity Mitsuishi-kami to get rid of the devil.

When Mitsuishi-kami heard their wishes, he caught the demon and made him pledge to never trouble the people again, leaving a handprint on the rock that stands at Mitsuishi Shrine.
When the people's wish was fulfilled, The villagers expressed their congratulations through singing, dancing, and shouting "Sansa Sansa," so that became the beginning point of the Sansa Odori.

จากตำนานมิตซึอิชิ เชื่อว่าในอดีตกาล ณ เมืองปราสาทโมริโอกะ มีปีศาจร้ายนามว่า "ราเซ็ตสึ" ได้เข้ามารุกรานในเมือง สร้างความหวาดกลัวให้กับผู้คนในท้องที่ ชาวบ้านจึงได้ภาวนาต่อเทพเจ้าประจำศาลเจ้ามิตซึอิ ให้ช่วยขับไล่ปีศาจออกไป เมื่อเทพเจ้ามิตซึอิชิ ได้ยินคำอธิษฐานของพวกเขา จึงได้เข้ามาจัดการกับปีศาจตนนั้น สุดท้ายปีศาจได้ให้คำมั่นสัญญาว่าจะไม่สร้างปัญหาให้กับผู้คนอีกพร้อมกับทิ้งรอยมือไว้บนโขดหินที่ตั้งอยู่ที่ศาลเจ้ามิตซึอิชิ

Lead the parade dancing beautifully by 'Miss Sansa Odori' dancers clad in a colorful kimono. They practice hard throughout the two months before the festival.
All through, you'll hear people chanting loudly the phrase "幸呼来チョイワヤッセ" (Sakkorachoiwayasse) in an effort to bring luck and happiness to everyone. Don't forget sing it along with them!

Experience the largest taiko drumming performance in the world, listed in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2014, at the Sansa Odori Festival. With more than ten thousand Taiko drummers and dancers, representing taiko groups created by schools, companies, and organizations in Morioka, joining a march through the city. The sound of the taiko drums reverberated throughout the city, creating a colorful environment that made the people who joined the dance at the event have fun and still resonate. Awakening the spirit in the mind to be ready to fight and move forward with life

แน่นอนว่า!! ทีมซันสะของมหาวิทยาลัยอิวาเตะของเราก็เข้าร่วมขบวนพาเหรดโชว์ในงานนี้ด้วยเช่นกัน ซึ่งเพื่อนๆ ทีมซันสะ ได้ทำการฝึกซ้อมอย่างหนักตลอดสองเดือนที่ผ่านมา โดยปีนี้ทางทีมซันสะของมหาวิทยาลัยจะขึ้นร่วมแสดงในวันพุธที่ 2 สิงหาคม ไปร่วมให้กำลังใจ และชมความสวยงามของการร่ายรำซันสะ และขบวนกลองไทโกะของทีมซันสะ มหาวิทยาลัยอิวาเตะกัน
