At Global Village, Iwate University, we host weekly events designed to support both international and Japanese students in exploring diverse cultures through friendly conversations. Let me introduce you to three main events that everyone can enjoy.

Firstly, I would like to introduce the 'Nihongo Café,' held every Monday. It is a wonderful opportunity to improve your Japanese speaking skills. Engage in conversations with fellow students in Japanese and expand your social circle. This is particularly beneficial for new international students eager to practice Japanese. We discuss various topics such as daily life and personal interests, making it conducive to improving listening skills even for those less familiar with the language.

Next, we offer 'All in English' every Tuesday, providing a relaxed environment for individuals keen on refining their English conversational skills. Enjoy meaningful discussions in English while meeting new acquaintances. Additionally, we host an evening session called the 'Staff English Lounge' every Monday and on some Thursdays from 17:00 to 18:00. This session, primarily intended for Iwate University faculty and staff, also welcomes students. It involves small group conversations guided by topic cards, fostering interaction and language practice.

In today's global context, proficiency in multiple languages is highly valuable. Join us at Global Village to learn Chinese through our 'Nihao Chinese Workshop,' where participants can acquire basic Chinese phrases. Each month, the workshop revolves around a different theme, such as greetings or cooking, providing an excellent opportunity to interact with Chinese students. Furthermore, we occasionally introduce alternative language experiences, such as Korean, facilitated by international students at Iwate University. Additionally, we are excited to announce an upcoming event on June 13th, focusing on Vietnamese cuisine. While this event doesn't specifically center on language, it offers a splendid chance for attendees to immerse themselves in Vietnamese culture through culinary delights.

These language events typically occur during lunchtime from 12:20 to 12:50, allowing participants to enjoy their meals while engaging in conversation. The venue is the Global Village or multi-purpose room on the 1st floor of Student Center B. เริ่มจาก "Nihongo Café" จัดขึ้นทุกวันจันทร์ สำหรับเดือนมิถุนายน 2024 ถือเป็นโอกาสอันดีที่จะได้พัฒนาทักษะการพูดภาษาญี่ปุ่น ได้ร่วมพูดคุยกับเพื่อนนักเรียนด้วยภาษาญี่ปุ่นและทำความรู้จักกับเพื่อนใหม่ๆ ซึ่งเป็นประโยชน์อย่างมาก สำหรับนักเรียนต่างชาติที่มาญี่ปุ่นใหม่ ๆ และต้องการฝึกฝนภาษา โดยกิจกรรมจะมีการพูดคุยกันในหัวข้อต่างๆ เช่น ชีวิตประจำวัน และความสนใจส่วนตัว แม้จะยังใช้ภาษาไม่คล่อง ก็สามารถเข้าร่วมเพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการฟังได้
