This month is International Month! Many international events are held almost every day. So, what can we learn during this International Month? Ritt, PR Associate for International Exchange, explained about International Month. Please read it!

International Month (国際月間)
Our world consists of tons of countries, all scattered across different continents. The unique locations contribute to varying climates, ways of life, languages, and cultures. In the current era of globalization, countries are continually influenced by each other in aspects ranging from food and clothing to sports and beyond, giving rise to the concept of "internationalism."
Have you ever found yourself wondering, "Why don't they take off their shoes before entering the room?" or "Why do some cultures use chopsticks for eating?" These are the kinds of questions that may pop into your mind as you encounter more people in our interconnected world. Understanding different ways of thinking, beliefs, and cultures is not only beneficial but also essential for embracing contemporary international society happily. Exploring other countries and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds can open your perspective, enrich your knowledge, spark inspiration, and pave the way for more opportunities. Moreover, if you have aspirations of setting up your own business in the future, this global exposure will undoubtedly fuel your growth.
This month, Iwate University proudly celebrates the spirit of internationalism through a series of engaging activities as part of "Iwate University International Month." Our aim is to promote international understanding and ignite a passion for global exchange among our students.
Our International Month is brimming with a variety of events, including the regular weekly gatherings like "All in English," "Nihao Chinese," and "Nihongo Café." We've also added some exciting events like the
- "Hello Exchange Student," where you can engage in conversations with our international exchange students at Iwate University.
- Challenge yourself and enhance your English skills by participating in the English Speech Contest.
- Delight in Japan's traditional storytelling art in English at the English Rakugo event.
Additionally, gain insights from career seminars hosted by graduates who have studied abroad and special lectures designed to provide you with an international perspective.

เดือนนานาชาติ
โลกของเราประกอบด้วยประเทศต่างๆ มากมาย ซึ่งกระจายอยู่ตามทวีปต่างๆ ด้วยสถานที่ตั้งอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ทำให้แต่ละประเทศมีสภาพอากาศ วิถีชีวิต ภาษา และวัฒนธรรมที่แตกต่างกัน ในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์ปัจจุบัน ประเทศต่างๆ ได้รับอิทธิพลซึ่งกันและกันอย่างต่อเนื่องในด้านต่างๆ ตั้งแต่อาหาร เครื่องนุ่งห่ม ไปจนถึงกีฬาและสิ่งอื่นๆ จึงเป็นที่มาของของแนวคิดเรื่อง "ความเป็นสากล"
หากคุณเคยสงสัยว่า "ทำไมบางคนไม่ถอดรองเท้าก่อนเข้าห้อง?" หรือ "ทำไมบางวัฒนธรรมถึงใช้ตะเกียบในการรับประทานอาหาร" เหล่านี้เป็นคำถามที่อาจผุดขึ้นในใจของ เมื่อได้เจอกับผู้คนหลากหลายมากขึ้นในโลกที่เชื่อมโยงถึงกัน การเข้าใจวิธีคิด ความเชื่อ และวัฒนธรรมที่แตกต่างกันไม่เพียงแต่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อตัวเองเท่านั้น แต่ยังจำเป็นต่อการอยู่ร่วมกันในสังคมนานาชาติอย่างมีความสุขอีกด้วย การได้เดินทางไปยังประเทศอื่นๆ และเชื่อมต่อกับผู้คนจากภูมิหลังที่หลากหลาย สามารถเปิดมุมมอง เพิ่มพูนความรู้ จุดประกายแรงบันดาลใจ และปูทางไปสู่โอกาสที่มากขึ้น ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น หากใครคิดที่จะทำธุรกิจในอนาคต การเปิดตัวไปยังประเทศต่างๆทั่วโลกนั้นจะกระตุ้นให้เกิดการเติบโตของธุรกิจได้อย่างไม่ต้องสงสัย
ในเดือนนี้ มหาวิทยาลัยอิวาเตะภูมิใจนำเสนอ แนวคิดความเป็นสากล ผ่านกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่น่าสนใจ ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ "เดือนนานาชาติของมหาวิทยาลัยอิวาเตะ" โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อส่งเสริมความเข้าใจระหว่างประเทศ และจุดประกายความสนใจในการแลกเปลี่ยนระดับโลกของนักศึกษา เดือนนานาชาติของเราเต็มไปด้วยกิจกรรมต่างๆ มากมาย รวมถึงกิจกรรมที่จัดเป็นประจำทุกสัปดาห์อย่าง "All in English" "Nihao Chinese" และ "Nihongo Café" เรายังได้เพิ่มกิจกรรมที่น่าตื่นเต้นเช่น
- "Hello Exchange Student" ซึ่งคุณสามารถสนทนากับนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยนนานาชาติที่มหาวิทยาลัยอิวาเตะ
- ท้าทายตัวเองและพัฒนาทักษะภาษาอังกฤษ โดยเข้าร่วมการประกวดสุนทรพจน์ภาษาอังกฤษ
- เพลิดเพลินกับศิลปะการเล่าเรื่องแบบดั้งเดิมของญี่ปุ่นเป็นภาษาอังกฤษในกิจกรรม English Rakugo
นอกจากนี้ยังได้รับข้อมูลเชิงลึกจากการสัมมนาอาชีพที่จัดโดยศิษย์เก่าที่เคยศึกษาในต่างประเทศและการบรรยายพิเศษที่เพื่อถ่ายทอดมุมมองความเป็นสากล ลองดูรายละเอียดตารางกิจกรรมด้านล่างและหาเวลาที่สะดวกมาเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมกัน! โดยหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าทุกคนจะเพลิดเพลินกับกิจกรรมของเดือนนี้อย่างเต็มที่ และเข้าใจความหมายของการเป็นพลเมืองโลกกันมากยิ่งขึ้น
