岩手大学では、留学生の皆さんに北東北の魅力を知ってもらうため、「フィールドツアー」を開催しています。今回の目的地は岩手のお隣秋田県の抱返り渓谷や角館の武家屋敷でした。フィールドツアーに参加したFaria Afrinさんが感想を教えてくれました。（言語：英語、ベンガル語）
Iwate University organizes "field tours" for international students to show them the charms of the North Tohoku region. This time, we visited Dakigaeri Canyon in Iwate's neighboring Akita Prefecture and samurai residences in Kakunodate. Faria Afrin, who participated in the field tour, shared her impressions. Famous English poet John Keats said, "A thing of beauty is a joy forever," and I feel it whenever I am the witness of the eternal beauty of Japan. On June 17, 2023, the International Office of Iwate University arranged a field trip to Akita, and I got a chance again to be amazed by the natural beauty of Japan. Many international students from China, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, Germany, etc., and some staff from Iwate University went together on the field trip.
At first, we went to Dakigaeri Valley in Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture. The name Dakigaeri (hugging back) comes from times when the mountain paths were so dangerous and narrow that when people passed each other, they had to hug and support each other to get by. The beautiful scenery of virgin green forest, whistling waterfalls, a cobalt blue stream, and dark tunnels was breathtaking. The color of the stream was really amazing, and it is said that the color of the flow comes from Tamagawa Onsen (a hot spring) upstream, which is said to have the most potent acidity in Japan. The beauty of Dakigaeri can never be described in words!
After that, we went to see the Historic Kakunodate samurai residences. Kakunodate's bukeyashiki (Samurai manors) exist much as they did hundreds of years ago.
It was founded in 1620 by Ashina Yoshikatsu (1575-1631), the younger brother of the ruler of the Akita Domain. Strolling through Kakunodate took us back in time to the ancient, history-filled past. We visited the Aoyagi Samurai Manor Museum. The museum has six galleries to explore and a beautiful garden. On display in the buildings are quaint items from the 17th through 20th centuries: samurai swords, utensils, clothing, toys, hanging scrolls, pictures, and documents. The members of the Aoyagi family built or collected them for their actual daily use.
In the afternoon, we had a sightseeing boat tour around Lake Tazawa.
This lake has been selected as one of the 100 most scenic spots in Japan. On the northern end of the lake stands the Goza-no-Ishi Shrine, on a site where the local lords used to come to admire the water in the feudal past. At the western end of the lake, there is a famous golden statue of a woman named Tatsuko that has become a local symbol.
According to legend, Tatsuko was a beautiful girl who prayed to retain her beauty forever but was instead cursed, turned into a dragon, and eventually sank to the bottom of Lake Tazawa. The blue water, green scenario, and clear sky were like a beautiful dream.
Although the field trip was ended, it gave us a wonderful memory that will last forever. I had a great day and also got a chance to share my happiness with people from different nations. I would like to express my gratitude to the Iwate University International Office for organizing such an amazing field trip.

বিখ্যাত ইংরেজ কবি জন কিটস বলেছিলেন, "সুন্দর সবসময়ই আনন্দের" এবং আমি সেটাই অনুভব করি যখন প্রত্যেকবার জাপানের অনন্ত সৌন্দর্যের সাক্ষী হই। গত ১৭ জুন, ২০২৩ ইন্টারন্যাশনাল অফিস, ইওয়াতে ইউনিভার্সিটির উদ্যোগে একটি ফিল্ড ট্রিপের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়, এবং আরেকটিবার আমি জাপানের প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যে বিস্মিত হওয়ার সুযোগ পাই। চীন, বাংলাদেশ, মালয়েশিয়া, থাইল্যান্ড, জার্মানি সহ বিভিন্ন দেশের অনেক আন্তর্জাতিক ছাত্র-ছাত্রী এবং ইওয়াতে ইউনিভার্সিটির কিছু কর্মী একসঙ্গে আকিতা ফিল্ড ট্রিপে গিয়েছিলাম।
প্রথমে, আমরা আকিতা প্রিফেকচারের কাকুনোদাতে দাকিগারি উপত্যকায় গিয়েছিলাম। ডাকিগায়েরি অর্থ আলিঙ্গন করা; নামটি সেই সময় থেকে এসেছে যখন পাহাড়ের পথগুলি এতটাই বিপজ্জনক এবং সরু ছিল যে লোকেরা যখন একে অপরকে অতিক্রম করত তখন তাদের একে অপরকে আলিঙ্গন করতে হতো। কুমারী সবুজ বনের সুন্দর দৃশ্য, প্রবাহমান ঝরনা, কোবাল্ট নীল রঙা নদী, এবং অন্ধকার সুড়ঙ্গ; সবকিছুই ছিল মন কেড়ে নেয়ার মত। নদীর নীল রঙটি সত্যিই আশ্চর্যজনক ছিল, ধারণা করা হয় এই নীল রঙটি তামাগাওয়া ওনসেন (একটি উষ্ণ প্রস্রবণ) উজান থেকে এসেছে, যা জাপানে সবচেয়ে শক্তিশালী অম্ল স্রবণ। ডাকিগারির সৌন্দর্য কখনো ভাষায় বর্ণনা করা যাবে না!
এর পরে, আমরা ঐতিহাসিক কাকুনোদতে সামুরাইদের বাসস্থান দেখতে গিয়েছিলাম। কাকুনোদাতের বুকিয়াশিকি (সামুরাই ম্যানর) শত শত বছর আগে যেমন ছিল এখন ঠিক তেমনই আছে। এটি ১৬২০ সালে আকিতা ডোমেনের শাসকের ছোট ভাই আশিনা ইয়োশিকাতসু (১৫৭৫-১৬৩১) দ্বারা প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল। কাকুনোদাতে হেঁটে দেখার সময় আমরা যেন জাপানের প্রাচীন ইতিহাসে জীবন্ত হয়ে উঠেছিলাম। এরপর আমরা এওয়াগি সামুরাই ম্যানর যাদুঘর পরিদর্শন করি। সামুরাই যাদুঘরড়িতে ৬টি গ্যালারী এবং একটি সুন্দর বাগান রয়েছে। গ্যালারিগুলিতে ১৭ থেকে ২০ শতকের সামুরাইদের ব্যবহৃত বিচিত্র সব জিনিসপত্র রয়েছে; যার মধ্য সামুরাই তলোয়ার, বাসনপত্র, পোশাক, খেলনা, ঝুলন্ত স্ক্রল, ছবি এবং নথি অন্যতম। এসব কিছু এওয়াগি পরিবারের সদস্যরা ব্যবহারের জন্য তাদের তৈরি কিংবা সংগ্রহ করেছিল।
বিকেলে আমরা তাজাওয়া লেকের চারপাশের নয়নাভিরাম দৃশ্য দেখার জন্য নৌকা ভ্রমণ করেছিলাম। লেকটি জাপানের শীর্ষ ১০০টি সুন্দরতম জায়গাগুলির মাঝে একটি। লেকের উত্তর প্রান্তে গোজা-নো-ইশি নামে একটি মন্দির আছে, যেখানে সামন্ততান্ত্রিক অতীতে স্থানীয় রাজারা জলের প্রশংসা করতে আসতেন। লেকের পশ্চিম প্রান্তে, তাতসুকো নামে এক মহিলার একটি বিখ্যাত সোনালী রঙা মূর্তি রয়েছে যা স্থানীয় প্রতীক হয়ে উঠেছে। লোক কথায় শুনা যায়, তাতসুকো ছিলেন একজন সুন্দরী মেয়ে যিনি চিরকাল তার সৌন্দর্য ধরে রাখার জন্য প্রার্থনা করেছিলেন কিন্তু পরিবর্তে অভিশপ্ত হয়ে ড্রাগনে পরিণত হয়েছিলেন এবং অবশেষে তাজাওয়া লেকের তলদেশে ডুবে গিয়েছিলেন। লেকের নীল জল, চারপাশের সবুজ গাছ এবং নীল আকাশ ছিল একটি সুন্দর স্বপ্নের মতো।
যদিও একদিনের ফিল্ড ট্রিপটি শেষ হয়ে গিয়েছিল কিন্তু এটি আমাদের একটি সুন্দর স্মৃতি উপহার দিয়েছে যা চিরকাল স্মরনীয় হয়ে থাকবে। আমার জন্য দিনটি খুব উপভোগের ছিল এবং আমি আমার আনন্দ বিভিন্ন জাতির মানুষের সাথে ভাগাভাগি করতে পেরে খুবই খুশি। এমন একটি সুন্দর ফিল্ড ট্রিপ আয়োজনের জন্য আমি ইওয়াতে ইউনিভার্সিটি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল অফিসের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করি।
